Dynamic Gas Station Totem - Rompetrol Romania
A high-fidelity recreation of the modern Rompetrol fuel price totem, designed to bring more life and authenticity to the Romanian roads in my project. This model was a great exercise in managing multiple branding elements and complex night-time lighting.
Just like my previous gas station assets, this prop is fully functional within the simulation. It features a dynamic price system, allowing for real-time updates of fuel costs.
Key Features:
Complex Branding: Integrated detailed textures for the "Hei" restaurant and "Rompetrol Go" loyalty program, matching real-world layouts.
Advanced Night Setup: Beyond the glowing logo and price digits, I implemented the iconic orange emissive strip along the totem's edge to capture Rompetrol’s specific night-time identity.
Material Precision: Created in Blender with PBR textures from Gimp, focusing on the contrast between the dark grey base panels and the vibrant, backlit branding areas.
Optimized for Simulation: Low-poly mesh with custom baked Ambient Occlusion for a grounded, realistic look in ETS2.
Main perspective render of the Rompetrol totem. The focus was on the iconic "flower" logo and clean industrial design.
Real-world reference image used to ensure every branding detail, from the "Fill&Go" sign to the icon set at the base, is accurate.
Integration test in-game. The asset provides a high-quality visual landmark for drivers during the day cycle.
Night-time implementation in the simulation. The orange side-lighting and the glowing logo significantly enhance the roadside atmosphere.
Night reference used to match the specific color temperature and glow intensity of the real-world gas station.
