I’ve been focusing on adding more industrial detail to the commercial zones of my project, so I built these high-rise retail signs for Brico Dépôt and Arabesque from scratch.
The goal was to move away from generic props and create something that truly reflects the Romanian roadside landscape. The Brico Dépôt totem uses a clean, solid panel design, while for Arabesque, I modeled the complex yellow mesh structure to match its real-life counterpart.
A big part of the work went into optimization and night-time lighting. Each model has a dedicated night setup with custom emitters to ensure they look great in all conditions. Technically, these are built for performance, featuring clean topology and a secondary LOD stage (LOD1 at 200m) to keep the simulation running smoothly even with multiple landmarks in view.
